This is a full-time hybrid role for a Fire Alarm Design Manager based in Paoli, PA, with opportunities to work remotely on a part-time basis. The Fire Alarm Design Manager will oversee the design process for fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. Responsibilities include creating technical drawings, collaborating with clients and project teams, leading design reviews, managing projects efficiently, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Additionally, the role involves staying updated on industry trends, providing technical guidance, and maintaining documentation accuracy.
- Experience in fire alarm system design, including proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software, and a solid understanding of electrical and life safety codes
- Knowledge of NFPA standards (e.g., NFPA 72) and local building codes
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and cross-functional teams effectively
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders
- NICET certification or equivalent experience in fire alarm design is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) is desirable
