- Job Description
We are looking for an IBM DataStage ETL Developer to support the optimization project of our client's Cost Allocation Recovery System and other background systems. This position will be hybrid (3-days onsite) in Trenton, NJ. This is a 1-year engagement.
What You ll Do
Support existing and new development under IBM DataStage ETL ver11, using flat file (CSV), MS SQL Server, Excel, and Oracle data for OIT's CAR billing system
Intake usage billing data from about 20 different internal service provider sources and transform it into a common billing application running under Oracle
Maintain existing billing processes using DataStage ETL for 34 billed services and develop new ETL processes for IBM mainframe billing, replacing existing legacy COBOL processing
Develop error reporting processing out of DataStage for business users to correct errors
Improve existing DataStage processes where production anomalies exist and enhance pain-points where possible
What You'll Need
Required:
5 years or more experience and knowledge of IBM DataStage v11 ETL processes, including: DataStage development lifecycle: code, test, verify, deploy and handling inputs in CSV file, SQL Server, Oracle, or Excel; outputs in Oracle
5 years or more experience and knowledge of Oracle SQL, including: extensive knowledge of SQL, functions, triggers, and stored procedures and the ability to research processing errors, debug, and implement corrective actions
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with co-developers, supervisors, and client business users
Preferred:
Basic knowledge of TOAD (database utility)
