Job Summary
We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented, full-time Assistant Store Manager to help lead our world-class dessert shop. You will be responsible for creating a "destination experience" for families and enthusiasts alike. This role requires a blend of operational excellence, staff mentorship (specifically for a young workforce), and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, product quality, and helping people enjoy the best dessert on earth.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Train and schedule a team of 10–25 servers and shift leads. Foster a positive, fast-paced culture that can handle heavy "rush" periods (especially Friday nights, summer weekends, and holidays).
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily opening/closing procedures. Ensure the shop meets or exceeds all Salt Lake County Health Department regulations.
- Inventory & COGS: Identify and coordinate ordering for dairy, toppings, and dry goods with the Store Manager. Minimize waste through detailed inventory tracking and portion control.
- Customer Experience: Actively engage with the Riverton community. Handle customer feedback with grace and use it to improve store performance.
- Marketing Support: Support the Store Manager in coordinating and executing local store marketing, such as "Spirit Nights" for local schools, community events, or seasonal promotions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years of experience in food service or high-volume retail.
- Certifications: Current Food Handler’s Permit (or ability to obtain within 5 days).
- Availability: Must be able to work peak hours, including evenings, Saturdays, and major holidays.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with modern POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square) and scheduling software (e.g., Homebase, 7shifts).
- Physical: Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs (such as large tubs of ice cream).
Additional Information
Eligible for performance bonus in compensation.
Pay: Up to $36,000.00 per year
