What are the responsibilities and job description for the On Site Resort Manager (Live In) position at Zenwood?
About Zenwood
Zenwood is a new luxury cabin resort in Hocking County, Ohio. Phase one opens with 10 high end, one bedroom cabins designed for couples seeking a true escape in the Hocking Hills. This is a ground floor opportunity: future phases will add a spa, additional accommodations, and guest amenities, and the right person will grow with the property as it expands.
The Role
We are hiring a live in On Site Resort Manager to run day to day operations at Zenwood. You will be the face of the property and the person who makes sure every stay is flawless, from a spotless cabin to a chilled bottle of champagne waiting on arrival. Think of this as part property manager, part hospitality host, part operations lead. You will own cleaning, maintenance, guest communication, and inventory for all 10 cabins, and you will live on site in a private farmhouse.
What You Will Do
Housekeeping and presentation
- Clean and turn over cabins between stays, and lead or schedule any housekeeping help
- Inspect every cabin before check in to a luxury standard: linens, amenities, staging, and small details
- Manage the laundry cycle so fresh linens and towels are always ready
Maintenance and grounds
- Handle routine maintenance and minor repairs yourself
- Hire, schedule, and oversee outside vendors (HVAC, plumbing, hot tubs, landscaping, snow removal, pest control)
- Walk the property regularly and catch issues before guests do
Guest experience
- Communicate with guests before, during, and after their stay by message, phone, and in person
- Respond quickly to guest requests and resolve problems on the spot
- Coordinate special touches such as champagne, anniversary setups, and add on packages
Inventory and supplies
- Track and reorder linens, toiletries, cleaning supplies, coffee, champagne, and guest amenities
- Keep stock levels organized so nothing runs out
- Manage supply spending within budget
Scheduling and logistics
- Build the daily cleaning, maintenance, and vendor schedule around arrivals and departures
- Keep the property running smoothly on high volume weekends and holidays
- Report to ownership on property condition, guest feedback, and needs
Who We Are Looking For

- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to pass a background check
Nice to have
- Boutique hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality background
- Experience with booking platforms and guest messaging tools
