As a Senior Embedded software Engineer you will integral in the design, development, and optimization of embedded systems for innovative medical technology products. This role requires expertise in embedded system design, hardware-software integration, and compliance with medical device standards. You will report into the Embedded Software Manager and join a talented team of engineers.
What will you be doing?
- Design and maintain embedded systems using C/C for microcontrollers and SoC platforms, focusing on real-time output, hardware integration, and optimization for power and memory limitations.
- Contribute to the integration of embedded software with hardware components, collaborating with electronics engineers to resolve issues and and ensure reliability.
- Contribute to verification activities, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, debugging, and regression testing, to meet functional and safety requirements.
- Be involved in improvements in embedded development processes, such as adopting advanced optimization techniques or integrating CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
What will you need to be successful?
- Experience: 6 years in embedded systems development, with commercial experience in medical device systems or safety critical technology
- Advanced C/C programming for embedded systems.
- knowledge of hardware schematics, PCB design, and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, JTAG).
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills for complex challenges.
- Exposure to various microcontrollers ( eg STM32, ESP32)
- Relevant Engineering degree
Desirable:
--Any mentoring or training experience
--RTOS), bare-metal development, and compliance standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485).
-- Electrosurgical/RF technologies; hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
