About the job
The Electronics Engineer is responsible for designing, modifying, and maintaining electronic systems and components for our partners leading IoT product range . This role translates engineering requirements, applies best practices in electronic design, and ensures compliance with industry standards. The Electronics Engineer collaborates with a cross functional team already in place.
Our partner ask that you work onsite a minimum of three days per week in Cambridge ( as long as you have the home lab / setup to do so)
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electronic circuits, PCB layouts, and embedded systems for new and existing IoT products.
- Maintain and organize the design database, ensuring documentation integrity and compliance with internal standards.
- Support bring-up and troubleshooting of new PCBAs and instruments.
- Support internal and external manufacturing operations.
- Manage new product compliance tests
- Perform complex design assignments independently, from concept through final product release, including component selection, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs, analyze technical challenges, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement improvements in design and documentation processes, recommend updates to standard practices, and support engineering management.
Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in electronic design, PCB layout, and embedded systems development.
- Proficiency with electronic tools including oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, etc
- Experience in manufacturing environments, with demonstrated expertise in new product development and production support.
- Proficiency in electronic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
- Familiarity with ERP systems, configuration control, and documentation best practices.
- Proven ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and proactively identify and implement process improvements.
Desirable:
- Embedded programming
- compliance, and design for manufacturability.
