Role overview
The engineer will guide public-sector customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This covers secure foundational cloud setups, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architecture, and migrating, building, modernizing and maintaining applications on GCP.
Responsibilities
- Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure and solve complex cloud platform challenges
- Design and implement cloud technical architectures, migration approaches and application optimizations with customers
- Act as a technical advisor and troubleshoot customer issues
- Create best-practice recommendations, tutorials, technical articles and sample code
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience; fluent English
- 3 years automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, or CI/CD
- Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion
- Coding in at least one general-purpose language (Python, Java, Go, C/C ), including data structures, algorithms and software design
- US Citizenship (required)
Preferred qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance ( Mandatory)
- Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or other container orchestration
- IT security practices: IAM, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management
- Experience building prototypes or applications
- Familiarity with DoD IL5/IL6 security standards
