Emergency Room Nurse (RN)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our healthcare team in Corvallis, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing skills, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care in a fast-paced emergency department.
This is a 13-week contract position offering guaranteed weekly hours on a night shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Assess patients, prioritize care, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical responses.
- Assist with emergency procedures and provide appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Perform accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Follow hospital policies, emergency department protocols, and applicable nursing standards.
- Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and quality-of-care standards.
- Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- TNCC certification required.
- PALS certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,350.00 per week
