What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daily Dog Walker position at Zen Dog Pet Care?
Zen Dog Pet Care is looking for animal lovers who are passionate about helping people, who possess great attention to detail and good communications skills, and who are organized, punctual, dependable, and professional. You will be tasked with entering client homes independently and taking care of the pets. Must be able to work independently. Professional pet care experience is required. Must also be able to pass a background check.
This is a part-time, independent contractor position. Work is subject to your availability. We operate 7 days a week from 7am to 10pm. We also offer overnights from 9pm to 7am every day of the week. The bulk of the work occurs between 8am and 5pm Monday-Friday. Anytime you are available to work, you can be offered work.
*Applicants must be living in Roswell (30076), Alpharetta (30022), Duluth (30096, 30097), or Norcross/Peachtree Corners (30092).
This is a part-time position: average schedule is 10-20 hours per week. Depending on the schedule, applicants can start at $400-1000 a month.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Walking dogs and picking up after them
-Feeding and watering pets
-Cleaning up after pets
-Playing/snuggling/loving on pets
-Giving treats
-Administering medications if necessary
-Minor household tasks like bringing in the mail and packages, watering plants, and rotating lights and blinds.
Pets in our care include cats, dogs, and other small pets; dogs can range from 4 to over 100 pounds. All applicants must have a smart phone, reliable transportation, and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
PROFESSIONAL PET CARE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Being a cat whisperer, dog trainer, pet rescue volunteer, former vet tech, or other animal related experience is preferred. Knowing basic dog and cat behavior is also a plus.
