ZELTWANGER CNC Manufacturing - USA manufactures specialized, high-precision parts and assemblies for a variety of industries such as manufacturing, automotive, and packaging.  ZELTWANGER is an innovative, expanding group of companies with an excellent name in the fields of manufacturing services, automation, robotics, material handling, and leak testing.

To lead and further develop our U.S. location, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader to join us as Site Director USA

In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of the U.S. site and serve as the key interface between our U.S. operations, executive management, and functional departments in Germany.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall responsibility for the operational management of the U.S. site
• Lead, develop, and motivate employees and further strengthen the local organization
• Ensure delivery performance, quality, productivity, and on-time completion
• Manage and continuously improve production and business processes
• Take responsibility for the financial performance of the site within agreed targets and budgets
• Consistently implement measures to improve productivity, costs, and overall business performance
• Establish and further develop clear responsibilities, leadership structures, and efficient processes
• Manage day-to-day operations with a strong presence throughout the organization and production environment
• Work closely with Production, Sales, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, and other functional departments in Germany
• Manage and escalate significant customer and supplier matters as needed
• Regularly report relevant KPIs, developments, risks, and action items to executive management in Germany
• Implement the standards, processes, and requirements of the ZELTWANGER Group at the U.S. location
• Further develop collaboration and the division of responsibilities between the U.S. site and the German entities
• Actively contribute to the strategic and operational development of the U.S. business

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed technical or business-related degree, or comparable qualification
• Several years of leadership experience with responsibility for business results in a manufacturing environment
• Ideally, experience in CNC manufacturing, machining, mechanical engineering, or a comparable industrial environment
• Strong understanding of production processes, KPIs, and financial/business performance
• Experience in organizational and process optimization, restructuring, or transformation
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to personally drive operational topics
• Clear, reliable, and pragmatic leadership style
• Ability to make decisions in challenging situations and implement them consistently
• Very good German and English language skills
• Several years of professional experience in the United States and/or experience managing or operationally leading a U.S. location is required
• Strong understanding of U.S. workplace, leadership, and business culture
• Experience working between a German or European parent company and a U.S. subsidiary is an advantage
