Position: Director of Marketing
Report to: President
Function: The Director of Marketing will foster a positive, inspiring, and collaborative work environment that empowers managers to actively work toward company-wide marketing goals.
Work Performed:
1. Providing inspired leadership and communicating and implementing Zehnder’s mission, vision, and core values to the Marketing Department.
2. Developing high quality marketing strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
3. Annually develops, coordinates and monitors marketing and objectives of the company on behalf of the President.
4. Manager of progress, projects and budgets within the Marketing Department.
5. Assists individual divisions and department directors in development of Marketing Strategies/Tactics.
6. Assembles, analyses, and makes recommendations of final marketing budget to the President.
7. Oversees image, promotional and advertising programs.
8. Works with Public Relations Agencies in obtaining adequate support from media for major marketing efforts.
9. Make strategic and financial decisions that align with Zehnder’s core values.
10. Involved in long range strategic planning for new products, services, markets and projects.
11. Oversees the implementation of and the day-to-day oversight of Zehnder’s Rewards Program.
12. Mentors, develops and leads a team of marketing managers.
13. Monitor budgets, resources, and procedures by working with division leaders.
14. On behalf of corporation obtains market review research data on sales activities in each division.
15. Maintains a deep knowledge of the restaurant, lodging, retail, and golf industry.
16. Represent Zehnder’s on professional boards and activities in the local community, Great Lakes Bay region and state level.
17. Participating in industry-related events, trade shows, conferences or associations that will enhance the Directors leadership skills, Zehnder’s reputation, and Zehnder’s potential for success.
18. All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field.
- 10 years of marketing experience, including 3-5 years in a management role leading a team.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and executing complex campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience reporting and interpreting performance data.
- Demonstrated ability to stay ahead of consumer trends and apply insights to strategy.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 base salary.
- Position is eligible for a bonus, paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance.
