Job Title: Valve Engineer
Reporting to: Controls Manager
Job Description:
The Valve Engineer position will be based out of Zeeco's Tulsa office within the Thermal Oxidizer Division. This position will be responsible for providing valve expertise for a variety of product-related inquiries.
Job Duties:
· Review project engineering and sales packages to determine the scope of equipment Zeeco is to supply to our customers.
· Provide cost estimates for valves and other inline piping components to the Zeeco sales team.
· Reading the customer specifications and implementing those specifications as they apply to the "AS SOLD" equipment.
· Develop relationships with valve suppliers worldwide to ensure compliance with customer specifications, testing, and on-time delivery.
· Develop ISA data sheets for the manual ball, gate, globe, and check valves, along with ISA data sheets for control valves, automated valves, dampers, and various other inline components.
· Work with the mechanical drafting team to ensure proper face-to-face dimensions and clearance is provided in the mechanical design.
· Perform inspection and testing of equipment prior to shipment from Zeeco's fabrication facility. Inspections and tests may be performed with the customer present.
· Occasional travel to assist the Zeeco sales group, visit other offices, or meet vendors. Travel includes both domestic and overseas destinations.
Qualifications:
· B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
· 2 years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
