Position Summary
The Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely preparation and dispensing of specialty medications for patients with complex health conditions. This role works closely with pharmacists and pharmacy team members to ensure prescriptions are processed efficiently, inventory is well managed, and quality and safety standards are consistently upheld. The Fulfillment Technician plays a critical role in keeping pharmacy operations running smoothly and patients well served.
Responsibilities
● Accurately prepare, fill, and label prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and established protocols
● Coordinate with pharmacists to clarify prescription details and resolve any discrepancies
● Enter and maintain accurate patient information and medication orders in the pharmacy management system
● Coordinate with the pharmacy team to prioritize and process orders based on urgency and patient needs
● Maintain comprehensive records of medication dispensing and inventory transactions
● Monitor stock levels of medications and supplies; assist with ordering, receiving, and restocking products as needed
● Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
● Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing and with safety and quality standards
Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in pharmacy technology preferred
● Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably with a focus on operations
● Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
● Proficient in pharmacy management software and other relevant computer applications
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
● Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
