About the Role
The Order Management Pharmacy Technician – Operations is responsible for supporting pharmacy operations through prescription processing, data entry, prescription retrieval and medication fulfillment activities. This role works closely with pharmacists to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficient workflow management
Responsibilities
· Data entry of patient, prescriber and prescription information
· Process and verify incoming prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
· Maintain accurate patient and prescription records in pharmacy management systems.
· Coordinate with pharmacists to clarify prescription details and resolve any discrepancies.
· Coordinate with the pharmacy team to prioritize and process orders based on urgency and patient needs.
· Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations governing pharmacy operations.
· Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of service.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in pharmacy technology preferred.
· Registered with PA State board of Pharmacy or willing to get registered within 30 days of employment
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably with a focus on operations
· Strong knowledge of pharmacy procedures
· Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
· Proficient in pharmacy management software and other relevant computer applications.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
