This is the first CFO hire in the history of a founder-led home products company that has grown from zero to $90M in revenue without a single dollar of outside capital.
Top 100 Amazon seller out of 1.5 million. Stocked in Walmart, Macy's, Wayfair, and TJ Maxx. Growing DTC channel.
This is not a reporting role. This is a build.
There is no ERP. No BI dashboards. Monthly close takes nearly three weeks. Inventory is tracked on Google Sheets. 1,500 SKUs where 150 generate all the profit and the bottom 90% are net negative. $3M in dead stock sitting in warehouses. OPEX running at $500K/month with no formal cost review in place.
The founders know exactly what they need: someone who can come in, build the entire finance function from scratch, rationalise the portfolio, install the systems, and become a true business partner as they push toward the next stage of growth.
What you'll own:
- SKU-level profitability and dead stock liquidation.
- ERP selection and implementation.
- Channel-level P&Ls across Amazon 3P, retail, and DTC.
- Marketing finance and ROAS discipline.
- Supply chain financial planning across a 100% imported product line.
- Cash flow forecasting, OPEX reduction, and getting monthly close down to five days.
- The 12-month target: sales up 40%, profitability up 4 percentage points.
What we're looking for:
- 10 years in finance with senior leadership experience in product-based e-commerce or consumer goods.
- Deep Amazon 3P Seller Central fluency is non-negotiable.
- ERP implementation experience.
- Comfortable with imported goods, landed costs, and tariff exposure.
- CPA/CMA/MBA preferred but not required if the track record is there.
Compensation:
$230-275K base. Performance bonus. Phantom equity with meaningful long-term upside tied to company value creation. Clearwater, FL in-office with a 3-month remote trial and relocation assistance available.
