POSITION SUMMARY
ZATV is seeking a Director, Brand Partnerships to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an ambitious, entrepreneurial sales professional who can build and maintain trusted relationships with brands and agencies while driving new business opportunities that contribute to the company’s continued growth.
The Director, Brand Partnerships will bring deep experience in the evolving digital, social, and influencer media landscape, with a strong track record of selling custom content, branded partnerships, and direct media opportunities. This individual will play a key role in generating advertising revenue across ZATV’s influencer and creator network and will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitch development through deal execution and long-term account growth.
The ideal candidate has 7 years of experience in influencer marketing, digital media, and social media sales, with established relationships across agencies and brands, a strong understanding of market trends, and the ability to identify creative revenue opportunities in a fast-paced media environment.
This is a full-time position reporting directly to the VP of Sales & Marketing. Candidates based outside of California will be eligible to work remotely, subject to business travel as needed. Candidates residing within a 30-mile radius of our Burbank office will be required to work a hybrid schedule of two in-office days per week, plus any travel required for the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Director, Brand Partnerships, you will be responsible for driving revenue by identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with brands, agencies, and other organizations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities with brands and agencies.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and agency partners, while identifying new ways to grow existing accounts.
- Research prospective partners, identify key stakeholders, and create strategies to generate interest and secure meetings.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and business plans to drive premium direct sales revenue.
- Lead outreach efforts through inbound lead follow-up, outbound calls, emails, networking, and relationship-building activities.
- Manage business meetings and presentations with senior-level clients.
- Partner cross-functionally with executives and internal teams to align sales efforts with company goals and ensure successful campaign execution.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across creative, production, strategy, and operations to bring partnership campaigns to life.
- Monitor campaign performance and success metrics, making strategic adjustments as needed to maximize results and partner satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, client communication, and deal status within CRM platforms.
- Stay deeply informed on social media, digital advertising, influencer marketing, and broader industry trends.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 7 years of experience in influencer partnerships, digital media sales, branded content, and/or business development, preferably within entertainment, media, or creator-focused industries.
- Proven success in driving revenue through prospecting, pitching, closing, and growing strategic partnerships.
- Strong track record of generating new business while also retaining and expanding existing accounts.
- Experience working at an influencer agency, media company, talent company, social platform, or similar environment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of digital media, influencer marketing, social advertising, and online ad products.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments and manage projects from concept through execution.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the online advertising and media landscape.
- Skilled in developing presentations, proposals, and pitch materials.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and CRM software.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually commission.
