Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Bookkeeper based in Vestal, NY. The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial records, prepare financial statements, process journal entries, and use accounting software to maintain accurate bookkeeping. The role also involves tasks related to financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard accounting practices. Working closely with the team, the Bookkeeper will support financial operations to help drive overall business efficiency. Responsibilities will include:
- Accounts payable.
- Invoice processing. Match vendor invoices to purchase orders.
- Schedule and process payments via checks, ACH, Venmo and Paypal.
- Ensure compliance with company policies (obtain W-9s).
- Provide vendors with our company information (ST-120).
- Process employee expense reports.
- Process fundraising reports and make payments.
- Accounts Receivable.
- Create bank deposit and deliver to the bank.
- Enter online store sales in Quickbooks.
- Auditing reports (workers comp).
- Respond to customers and vendors via email and phone.
- Enter vendor purchase orders via websites, email and phone.
- Create shipping tags for customer orders.
Qualifications
Previous bookkeeping experience is preferred.
Must be proficient in the following programs:
- Quickbooks Online.
- Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Google Docs and Sheets.
- Windows.
