Duties
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat, poultry, and seafood according to established standards and customer specifications
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely and in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package meat products efficiently while maintaining freshness and quality
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable advice on cuts and preparation methods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department, including sanitizing tools and work surfaces regularly
- Monitor inventory levels, restock displays, and rotate stock to minimize waste
- Follow all food handling procedures to uphold health standards and prevent contamination
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or food preparation, particularly in meat cutting or kitchen environments
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meat cutting techniques
