Rental Staff

General Description

Performs routine work in opening and securing rental spaces of Green Ridge Recreation Center. Provides facility set-up and materials in accordance with rental needs. Provides exceptional customer service to rental group. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Shift Hours and/or Days Worked: Saturday and Sunday 11:30am- 5:00pm
• Hours Required for this position: 20 hours
  
  

Essential Job Functions

• Performs appropriate room set-up for each rental.
• Ensures that all Green Ridge Rental Agreements are being followed.
• Ensures the safety of rental and general users of Green Ridge Recreation Center.
• Facilitates activities for the rental, if necessary.
• Provides exceptional customer service for the rental group.
• Ensures that rental starts and leaves are according to schedule.
  
  

Requirements/Preferences

Education

Preferred: Graduation from high school or equivalent

Experience

Required: One or more years of customer service experience required (could be in a variety of settings)

Preferred: Three or more years of customer service experience.

Certifications/

Licenses

Required: Valid Virginia driver’s license with good driving record. CPR, First Aid, and AED.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong ability to work with public in person and by phone.
• Ability to advise on and interpret policies in researching and resolving customer inquiries, requests and complaints.
• Ability to follow oral and written direction and work procedures.
• Ability to take initiative as well as follow-thru.
• Skill using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer software.
  
  

Additional Requirements

Subject to a complete criminal history and Child Protective Services background search with acceptable results. Must be able to perform the job as described in the Physical and Environmental Demands section of this job description. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays.
