Library - Student Employee

Position Description

This individual will work as a student employee in the Library.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Help library users from Zane State College and Ohio University Zanesville, and the broader community.
• Staffing/serving as point of contact at the Circulation desk.
• Check materials in/out, shelving books, processing materials.
• Keeping assigned shelves, public areas, circulation desk, and related work areas organized and clean.
• Trouble-shooting equipment/hardware and assisting library users with computer software-related issues.
• Performing general office tasks (data entry, filing, and verification of holdings, etc.)
• Using cash register and handling money.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Customer service-oriented with an ability to interact with a variety of people who have various needs. Self-motivated. Possesses time management and scheduling skills. Reliable and team focused. Knowledge of general office and basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite). Some knowledge of Internet searching skills preferred, not required. Money-handling skills preferred, not required.
