What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool and Die Apprentice position at Zakobe?
Most jobs you can learn in a week. This one takes years. That's the point.
Zakobe makes the precision metal parts that keep power systems running — parts measured in a fraction of the width of a human hair. We're hiring on the production floor, and we're looking for one kind of person: someone who wants to become a tool and die maker.
It's one of the hardest skills in manufacturing. It's also one of the rarest — which means once you have it, you're in demand for the rest of your life. We'll teach it to you from the ground up.
What this actually is
You start on the floor and you earn while you learn. You train under people chasing one goal: to be the best in the world at what they do. This is a real apprenticeship into a real trade, not a title on a badge. Progress is earned at the machine, on real work, on real tolerances.
Who we're looking for
- No degree required. No prior experience required.
- Grit, curiosity, and the drive to master something difficult.
- Someone who'd rather be great at one hard thing than okay at an easy one.
- Reliable, sharp, and honest about what they don't know yet.
