The Monarch San Antonio, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 200-room, 17-story boutique hotel located in the Hemisfair District of downtown San Antonio. It is set to open in early 2026 and is inspired by the Monarch butterfly that migrates through the region each winter. Position Overview
The Room Attendant plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort in guest rooms and public areas. This position requires attention to detail, discretion, and a genuine passion for luxury hospitality.
Essential Functions
- Clean, service, and prepare guest rooms to five-star hotel standards, ensuring immaculate presentation at all times
- Make beds with precision, replenish linens and amenities according to brand standards
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and proper functionality; promptly report defects or damages
- Respect guest privacy and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests promptly, courteously, and professionally
- Follow established procedures for turndown service and special guest preferences
- Ensure all housekeeping equipment, trolleys, and storage areas are clean and well organized
- Comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Collaborate closely with supervisors, housekeeping teammates, and other departments to ensure seamless service
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a luxury or five-star hotel preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to excellence
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties, including standing, bending, and lifting
- Good communication skills; basic English preferred (additional languages an asset)
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
