Software Engineering Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a Software Development team supporting full-stack development efforts across backend and frontend systems. This role requires a balance of hands-on development, team management, and strategic planning. The Software Engineering Manager will work closely with engineering and product leadership to align technology with business goals and product vision. This position will be hybrid in Arvada, CO!

Responsibilities of the Software Engineering Manager include:

• Lead and manage software engineers across backend and frontend teams
• Review and contribute to code in Python, TypeScript, and React
• Drive Agile development practices and ensure alignment with software development life cycles
• Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure successful project delivery
• Inspire and motivate teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to align development with strategic goals
  
  

Required Qualifications for the Software Engineering Manager:

• 7 years of software engineering experience
• 5 years of applicable domain experience
• Proven experience managing software engineering teams
• Strong coding and code review skills in Python, TypeScript, and React
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles
• Experience in backend and frontend development, as well as QA practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  
  

Compensation for the Software Engineering Manager includes:

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Time Off, and Federal Holidays
