Software Developer - MEAN Stack

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to join a Federal Program in Chantilly, VA. The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for development, maintenance, and testing of microservices built on the MEAN stack.

Responsibilities of the Software Developer include:

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and document high-quality software solutions.
• Tackle complex technical challenges with innovative and effective solutions.
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies to enhance software capabilities.
• Manage and maintain corporate software libraries and development tools.
• Diagnose and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application design and usage.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly across various levels of the organization.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to peers.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.
  
  

Qualifications for the Software Developer include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of experience designing and developing web-based applications.
• Proficiency with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).
• Experience developing RESTful web services.
• Familiarity with microservice-based architectures.
• Understanding of secure system design and implementation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
  
  

Compensation for the Software Developer includes:

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
