Responsibilities of the Network Infrastructure Engineer:
- Architect and deploy VLAN designs and network segmentation solutions to enhance security, performance, and scalability across enterprise environments.
- Configure and maintain Layer 2 switching technologies, including trunking protocols and Spanning Tree configurations, to ensure resilient network connectivity.
- Develop and implement IP addressing plans, subnetting strategies, and Layer 3 routing solutions to support efficient network operations.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues across OSI Layers 1 through 4 by analyzing physical infrastructure, connectivity, and protocol behaviors.
- Configure, optimize, and support routing protocols, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Quality of Service (QoS) policies, and secure traffic management controls.
- Conduct network performance monitoring, trend analysis, and capacity planning to support infrastructure growth, reliability, and future business requirements.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 8 years of enterprise network engineering experience
- IAT II certifications (one of the following): CySA , Security , CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP
- Deep understanding of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA) and fiber/copper infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing VLAN and Layer 3 routing solutions.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot across physical and logical network layers.
- Total compensation based on experience level - $140,000-$160,000 **based on experience level**
