Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and accountability of day‑to‑day cybersecurity operations and security tasks.
- Validate compliant security architectures by applying current DoD and Army cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards to ensure a layered defense approach.
- Assist in the review, development, and drafting of cybersecurity policies aligned with regulatory and compliance standards.
- Cross‑reference and validate physical, personnel, facility, and information system controls in accordance with Army Regulations, DoD Directives, and Instructions.
- Manage information security risks and report findings, assessments, and recommendations to Government stakeholders.
- Work closely with system owners to maintain current Authorities to Operate (ATO) in compliance with FISMA, DoD RMF, and NIST guidance.
- Support cybersecurity requirements during Army and Joint exercises.
- Represent the customer and Commanding General in briefings, meetings, and working groups regarding cybersecurity posture across the AOR.
- Ensure STIG compliance through recurring monthly reviews and validation.
- Use eMASS to validate compliance with Army RMF 2.0 standards.
- Review Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) for accuracy, currency, and mitigation effectiveness.
- Support CORA assessment teams during inspections.
- Assist with planning, execution, documentation, and remediation activities resulting from CORA assessments.
- Evaluate personnel during inspections, document findings, and train staff on corrective actions and prevention strategies.
- Active CompTIA Security CE certification (must be valid at start date).
- 5 years of cybersecurity experience, preferably supporting or working directly with the U.S. Army.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong written communication skills, with experience producing executive‑level products for Senior Leaders and General Officers.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate data and quickly identify cybersecurity issues, gaps, and risks.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance eligibility required on Day One and prior to entry on duty.
- Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
