Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking an AFSIM Developer to support advanced modeling and simulation efforts for the U.S. Navy based in Crane, Indiana. This position is a full time role that will be onsite. This position is critical in advancing mission-ready simulation capabilities, ensuring high-fidelity modeling and integration of multi-domain operations. As an AFSIM Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, integrating, and enhancing simulation frameworks to support strategic deterrence, electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO), and next-generation defense capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and integrate models within the AFSIM framework.
• Design and implement simulation capabilities using Python, C/C , and MATLAB.
• Build and maintain threat models, flight path models, and Electronic Warfare (EW) effects within simulation environments.
• Support Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) and strategic deterrence modeling initiatives.
• Perform model integration, testing, validation, and verification (VV&T) activities.
• Collaborate with Navy warfare centers, national laboratories, and industry partners to deliver advanced M&S solutions.
• Contribute to rapid prototyping and development of next-generation simulation capabilities.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate simulation frameworks into mission-focused environments.
• Apply strong software engineering practices to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance, TS/SCI preferred
• Hands-on experience developing within AFSIM or similar modeling and simulation environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C , and/or MATLAB.
• Experience with M&S tools such as AFSIM, STK, NGTS, or Builder.
• Background in software development, systems engineering, and model integration.
• Experience with model validation, verification, and testing.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience supporting EMSO, Electronic Warfare (EW), or Nuclear Triad modeling efforts.
• Knowledge of threat modeling, mission-level simulation, and flight path development.
• Experience with rapid prototyping in advanced defense R&D environments.
• Prior experience supporting DoD laboratories, warfare centers, or military simulation programs.
  
  

Compensation:

• $150,000 - $200,000 *Depending on experience*
