IT Specialist Senior – Networking

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an IT Specialist Senior – Networking to support a long-term enterprise IT and cybersecurity program based in Crane, IN. The IT Specialist Senior – Networking will provide Tier 2/3 network support, troubleshooting, and optimization across enterprise infrastructure, with a strong focus on Cisco networking technologies. This position requires an active Secret Clearance and is onsite in Crane, IN!

Responsibilities of the IT Specialist Senior – Networking:

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise network infrastructure
• Install, configure, integrate, and troubleshoot IT and networking systems
• Troubleshoot and optimize Cisco routers, switches, and related network equipment
• Support enterprise routing and switching infrastructure
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, VPNs, NAT, and related networking technologies
• Support network upgrades, new installations, and infrastructure modernization
• Perform Tier 3 troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management
• Support IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLAN, VPN, and NAT environments
• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure network operations
• Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems while maintaining network availability
• Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity and performance issues
• Support network recovery efforts following outages or service disruptions
• Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, system changes, and technical solutions
• Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and other technical stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT and network personnel
  
  

Qualifications for the IT Specialist Senior – Networking:

• 7 years of IT experience; 10 years preferred
• Active Secret Clearance
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and enterprise networking equipment
• Experience providing Tier 2/3 network administration and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of enterprise routing and switching
• Experience with IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT
• Experience with IP, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise network protocols
• Experience supporting network upgrades, installations, and infrastructure integration
• Strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• CompTIA Security or equivalent IAT Level II certification
• CCNA certification required
• Microsoft certification preferred; waiver may be considered
• CCNP, CCDP, MTA, MCSA, or MCTS certification preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and cybersecurity teams
  
  

Compensation for the IT Specialist Senior – Networking includes:

• Salary: $100,000 - $110,000
