Role Description This is a full-time, 24-hour Travel Coordinator role. Office hours are 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday in Mendenhall, MS and required to be on call 24/7 outside of normal business hours. The Travel Coordinator will manage day-to-day travel planning for employees, including booking transportation, lodging, and related travel services in line with ZA Railroad Services policies and budget. Responsibilities include maintaining travel schedules, updating itineraries, and coordinating changes or cancellations as needed. The role will involve communicating with travelers and vendors, resolving travel-related issues, and ensuring a smooth travel experience that supports project timelines. The Travel Coordinator will also keep accurate records, support reporting on travel activity and costs, and collaborate with managers, supervisors, and administrative teams to align travel plans with business needs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Travel Coordination and Travel Management to organize and oversee employee travel effectively.
- Candidates should possess skills in Travel Arrangements, including booking transportation and accommodations in compliance with ZA Railroad Services guidelines.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to support travelers, interact with vendors, and resolve issues promptly.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities.
- Proficiency with travel booking tools, spreadsheets, and standard office software.
- Ability to work on-site in Mendenhall, MS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in travel coordination, logistics, or administrative support is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in business, administration, or travel management is a plus.
