A ZA Construction LLC Parts Clerk manages the inventory of parts and supplies needed for train maintenance and repair. Key duties include receiving, inspecting, and cataloging parts, maintaining accurate inventory records using software, and preparing orders. This role also may involve shipping, billing, and warranty claims. You must be able to work Monday - Friday (full-time and some overtime) and be available to work on weekends/holidays when necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Core responsibilities
- Inventory management: Receive, inspect, and catalog parts; perform physical and cycle counts; maintain accurate records using inventory management software.
- Order fulfillment: Process and fulfill parts orders for internal technicians and potentially external customers, including packaging and shipping.
- Record keeping: Maintain all related documentation, including invoices, receipts, and work orders, and ensure accuracy for financial reporting.
- Communication: Liaise with maintenance staff, technicians, and vendors to address needs, resolve issues, and ensure timely availability of parts.
- Physical tasks: May be required to lift heavy items, stand for long periods
