Established family-owned manufacturing company seeking an experienced Paint Mixers and Packagers. Our company employs approximately 50 associates and has operated continuously for nearly 80 years. We offer a stable work environment with very low employee turn over. This position works closely with production, purchasing, shipping, and customers to support the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing company.
Position Summary
The Production Technician is a dual-function role responsible for both the mixing of paint formulations and the packaging of finished products. Working under the direction of the Production Supervisor, this position requires strict adherence to batch formulas, fill-weight specifications, labeling standards, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate brings hands-on manufacturing experience, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to work seamlessly as part of a production team to meet daily output goals.
REQUIRED:

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh and measure raw materials using industrial scales according to batch formulas
- Operate mixing equipment to blend pigments, resins, solvents, and additives to specification
- Monitor batch consistency, viscosity, and color accuracy throughout the mixing process
- Fill, cap, and seal paint containers in accordance with production specifications and fill-weight targets
- Verify correct labels, batch codes, and product information on all finished goods
- Inspect packaging for defects, leaks, or labeling errors before products are released
- Operate a forklift to move raw materials, finished batches, and palletized goods within the facility
- Record batch data, fill-weight checks, production counts, and any discrepancies in production logs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times in compliance with PPE and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a steady workflow and meet shift production targets
- Report equipment issues, material discrepancies, or quality concerns promptly to the supervisor
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with industrial scales and mixing or filling equipment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written formulas, multi-step instructions, and labeling specifications precisely
- Solid teamwork and communication skills with a cooperative, dependable work ethic
- Basic math skills for measurements, weight checks, and conversions
- Full-time availability, Monday–Friday, day shift 6am-2:30pm
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
