Duties
- Repair and restore vehicle bodies using auto body repair techniques, including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment adjustments
- Perform welding tasks such as MIG welding and sheet metal fabrication to ensure structural integrity of repaired vehicles
- Use power tools and hand tools efficiently for sanding, grinding, sanding, and detailing work
- Install auto glass, perform auto painting using airless paint spraying equipment, and apply finishing touches for a flawless appearance
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks and assist with auto restoration projects to bring classic or damaged vehicles back to life
- Measure, cut, solder, and fabricate sheet metal components as needed for custom repairs or modifications
- Collaborate with team members on auto estimating, customer service inquiries, and vehicle assembly processes
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Experience handling hand tools, power tools, and auto glass installation equipment
- Knowledge of auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying and detailing skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repairs and estimates
- Automotive repair or mechanic experience is a plus; familiarity with auto estimating software is advantageous
- Must be detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship in all aspects of auto body work
