Role Description The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents, including routine well-child visits, acute care, and chronic disease management. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and implementing treatment plans, prescribing appropriate medications, and providing age-appropriate health education to patients and caregivers. The role involves close collaboration with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals, thorough documentation in the medical record, and active participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Barnesville, GA, requiring a consistent presence in the clinic to support continuity of care and strong relationships with families.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Pediatric Nursing.
- Solid foundation in Medicine and Primary Care for infants, children, and adolescents.
- Strong professional Nursing skills, including assessment, clinical decision-making, and patient/family education.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain), with national certification in pediatrics preferred.
- Experience in outpatient pediatric or family practice settings is highly beneficial.
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children, adolescents, and caregivers from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
