Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare detailed journal entries, account analyses, and financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct account reconciliation procedures including bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to verify accuracy.
- Support budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and assisting in financial report writing for internal review or external reporting.
- Assist with audit preparations by maintaining organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with team members on double-entry bookkeeping practices and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
Skills
- Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage), and financial systems.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles
- Proficiency in spreadsheets for data analysis, budgeting, and report generation.
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliations.
- Ability to perform general ledger accounting, account analysis, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation efficiently.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across departments.
