The Sprout School, part of YWCA's Early Childhood Education Program, offers high-quality, full-day preschool services for children aged 2.5 to 5 years old in downtown Richmond. In addition, YWCA Richmond provides free crisis services for survivors of domestic violence and their families and conducts community workshops to educate teens about healthy relationships and dating violence prevention.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for the Sprout School Center Director, located in Richmond, VA. The Director will oversee daily operations of the preschool, including managing staff, implementing curriculum, and ensuring compliance with educational and safety standards. Responsibilities include developing and enhancing educational programs, supporting educators through training and coaching, and fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment for children. The Director will also collaborate with families and stakeholders to promote the mission and values of the YWCA Richmond.
Qualifications
- Experience in Curriculum Development and Education
- Proficiency in Educational Leadership and Training
- Strong skills in Coaching and team management
- Passion for early childhood education and knowledge of best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- College degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within educational settings is a strong asset
