We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven Grants Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate believes in the dignity and worth of every individual and is committed to helping the YWCA to provide funds for programs that will overcome community barriers through advocacy, support, and resource coordination.

Schedule

· Full-time

· Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

· Occasional evenings, weekends, or community events may be required

Position Summary

The Grants Coordinator is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of grant funding activities to advance the organization’s mission and programs. This role serves as a central point of coordination between program staff, leadership, and finance to secure, manage, and report on grant activities. The Grants Coordinator researches funding opportunities, prepares and submits grant proposals, and ensures compliance with all grant requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

1) Grant Organization

a. Review current grants to determine what data to track, deadlines, etc.

b. Research available tools for tracking projects such as grants

c. Create a calendar/flow-chart for all existing grants (individually and collectively) that enables easier management and data tracking for grants.

d. Review and adjust as needed

2) Grant identification: Identify local, state, and foundation grants to supplement current grants and more fully meet client needs.

i. Identify funding needs

ii. Research available grants

iii. Collaborate with staff on writing proposals

3) CoC

a. Facilitate CoC meetings

b. Manage grant and facilitate deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, communications, business, or related field

· 2 years of experience in grant writing, grant management, or nonprofit development

· Experience working within a nonprofit, healthcare, social services, or community-based organization

· Demonstrated success in securing grant funding or managing multiple grant awards

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Understanding of grant development, submission, award management, reporting, and close-out processes

· Knowledge of government, foundation, and public grant opportunities and requirements

· Understanding of how to develop, monitor, and report on grant budgets

· Awareness of how grant-funded programs support organizational goals and community impact

· Knowledge of grant databases, reporting tools, and documentation processes

· Ability to develop clear, persuasive, applications and reports

· Coordinating multiple grants, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously

· Preparing budgets, tracking expenditures, and producing financial report

· Interpreting program outcomes and preparing compliance reports for organization and funding entities

· Presenting ideas clearly to team members, funders, and stakeholders

· Building and maintaining partnerships with funders, staff, and community partners

· Strong skills in Microsoft Office, grant databases, and tracking systems

Physical Requirements

· Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.

· Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

· Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and move throughout office, residential, and community settings.

· Ability to travel locally for client meetings, home visits, and community events.
