What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development (Before and After School) Site Coordinator position at YWCA McLean County?
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for planning educational activities for a diverse group of children ages 5-12 years old, which includes embedding our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, at the before- and after- school program throughout McLean County. The Site Coordinator will be responsible for building and maintaining open communication with child care families. Other duties will include opening and closing the building, ordering food and supplies, and cleaning the area, as well as planning activities throughout each week.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of 30 hours of college credit, 6 hours of which must be related to school-age children, child development, elementary education, and physical education, recreation camping or related fields.
- Ability to work well with children and adults.
- Experience working with school-age children ages 5-12 years old in a program setting preferred.
- Must meet DCFS qualifications for a school-age worker.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficient in at least one other language helpful.
- Must be available to start work on Aug. 10, 2026.
WORK HOURS
Part-time, 25 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 6:15 a.m.–8:45 a.m. AND 2:45 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
Pay: $18.50 per hour
