RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for assisting in the care and education of a group of children as part of a teaching team. The assistant teacher is an active participant of the teaching team by taking direction from the lead teacher while in the classroom. The assistant teacher assists in working with parents and assists in assessing the needs of the individual children. This person must be able to effectively assist in the classroom, be sensitive to the needs of the individual children, and relate well with both the children and adults. All assistant teachers are actively engaged with the children at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
§ Must be at least 18 years of age
§ High school diploma or GED is required
§ A.A. or B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is preferred.
§ Experience teaching, developing, and implementing curriculum for young children is preferred.
§ Proficiency in English is required
§ Good verbal and written communication skills are required
§ Proficient in at least one other language is helpful to translate documents and conversations for clients.
§ Must be available to start work as soon as possible.
WORK HOURS
Full-time , 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Full benefits package included.

Pay: $17.25 per hour
