This is a hybrid leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. You will be the financial backbone of the organization and a strategic partner at the executive table.
What You’ll Do
You will oversee all financial operations, including:
- Annual budgeting and financial planning with department leaders
- Full-cycle accounting: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Grant budgeting, compliance, and reporting
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to leadership and the Board
- Audit coordination, IRS 990 preparation, and 1099 reporting
- Cash flow management and banking relationships
- Leading and mentoring finance staff
You’ll bring structure, clarity, and insight that supports both compliance and strategy.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Master’s preferred)
- 3–5 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in nonprofit finance
- Strong experience with grant budgets and compliance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills
- High integrity and comfort handling sensitive information
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $85,000–$90,000
