At YWCA Greater Lafayette, we work every day to eliminate barriers and create access to care, education, and opportunity. The WISEWOMAN Program is a key part of that mission, helping women take control of their health through screenings, education, and long-term lifestyle support.
If you’re organized, people-focused, and want to help others build healthier lives, this is a role where you can see the impact of your work every day.
What You’ll Do
This role blends coordination, client support, and hands-on program work. You’ll help women navigate services, stay engaged, and follow through on care that can change long-term health outcomes.
- Schedule and coordinate health screening appointments for program participants
- Check in clients and support them through the screening process while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment
- Prepare and manage program paperwork and documentation
- Assist participants in completing required forms and ensure accuracy in data entry systems
- Connect women to health coaching, nutrition support, physical activity programs, and other resources
- Provide referrals for services such as tobacco cessation and lifestyle support programs
- Help participants access community resources like fitness programs, recreation services, and wellness opportunities
- Maintain accurate, timely records for state and federal reporting requirements
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for WISEWOMAN program partners across Indiana
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and required reporting processes
This role is detail-heavy but people-first. You need to be able to stay organized while still connecting with the individuals you’re serving.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can balance structure with compassion.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Comfortable working with individuals who may be navigating health or life challenges
- Ability to stay organized and accurate with documentation and data entry
- Knowledge or interest in nutrition, physical activity, or health promotion preferred
What to Expect
- Full-time, exempt position
- Mix of office work, client interaction, and coordination tasks
- Occasional travel for meetings or program coordination (including periodic meetings in Indianapolis)
- Occasional evenings, early mornings, or weekends may be required based on program needs, client schedules, or outreach events
- Work that requires attention to detail, consistency, and follow-through
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to ~40 lbs)
Why This Role Matters
The WISEWOMAN Program helps women catch serious health risks early and build habits that can prevent heart disease and stroke.
You’re not just scheduling appointments or completing paperwork.
