Job Purpose:
- The Assistant Camp Director at YWCA Central Massachusetts Inc is responsible for supporting the Camp Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the camp. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of camp programs and activities, ensuring they align with the YWCA's mission and values.
- Supervise and support camp staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Monitor camper safety and well-being, implementing safety protocols and responding to emergencies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Camp Director to manage camp logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget oversight.
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment, promoting teamwork, respect, and personal growth among campers and staff.
- Assist in the evaluation of camp programs and staff performance, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a camp setting or similar environment.

- Proven track record of organizing and implementing successful programs and activities for children and adolescents.
