What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at YWCA Central Maine?
The YWCA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for front desk operations during scheduled shifts. The position consists of greeting and interacting with the public including participants, visitors, and staff. The Customer Service Representative answers routine questions and provides information and support services concerning current YWCA program activities and handles cash and credit transactions on a point of sales system. The Customer Service Representative performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support program activities, including program enrollment, sales duties, and answering phone calls.
This is part-time position working 10-20 hours a week. Hours may vary from early morning, afternoon into evening, and weekends. Our current need is late afternoon, nights and weekends.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent client/customer service interpersonal skills
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
· Ability to work independently
- Ability to work effectively as a team
- Working knowledge of PC and MS Office software required- POS or cash register systems preferred
- Must be able to ensure compliance with YWCA standards, policies and procedures as needed especially important COVID protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least two years of experience in sales or customer service
