We’re Looking for a General Manager!
Under the guidance of Operations USA, the General Manager position who embodies our values, is dedicated to surpassing guest expectations, and is eager to contribute to our ongoing success. Must be dynamic leader with a proven track record in the hotel industry, passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences, and aligned with our values, with experience managing F&B and Revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall operations of the hotel(s), ensuring alignment with company standards and values.
- Follow up the performance of HK, Maintenance, F&B, Revenue, Sales and FD team members, ensuring that the established objectives are met in locations.
- Lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of creativity, responsibility, and excellence.
- Implement innovative strategies to enhance guest experiences and exceed expectations.
- Uphold high standards of guest satisfaction by overseeing the quality of accommodations and services.
- Address guest concerns promptly, maintaining transparency and ethical decision-making.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and efficient guest services.
- Communicate effectively with the corporate office and other hotels within the Smart Rooms portfolio.
- Monitor and manage the hotel's financial performance, budgets, and expenditures.
- Implement cost-effective measures without compromising service quality.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and uphold Yurbban' values.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum three (3) years of management experience in General Management, Revenue or Operations in hotels over 100 rooms, luxury hotels or resorts.
- Minimum three (3) years in front office leadership role, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
- Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values
- An intermediate to proficient understanding of computer systems such as: SAP, Mews, lightspeed, HUBOS, Microsoft word, PowerPoint, excel & outlook is preferred
- Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
- Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand english.
- Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations
Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends may be required.
Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.
Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, and requires ability to lift large and heavy packages and boxes and to the ability to load and unload small and large boxes as needed. Must have ability to safely lift minimum of 50 lbs. Without assistance and to push and pull up to 150 lbs. With appropriate equipment.
Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
