Duties
- Utilize innovative learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Assess student progress
- Provide personalized tutoring and academic advising to support diverse learning needs
- Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment
- Mentor students in extracurricular activities to promote well-rounded development
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and educational initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Jr. High core subjects
- Excellent communication skills for public speaking, classroom instruction, and parent interactions
- Proficiency in proofreading, copy editing and record keeping
- Experience with groups of Jr. High age students
- Skilled in classroom management techniques to foster respectful and productive environments
- Ability to mentor students academically and socially while supporting their emotional well-being
- Certification, credential, degree, and/or appropriate level of education for age range
