The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) is located in the Southwestern Alaska town of Bethel, with a total of approximately 6,000 people. YKHC supports 1500 employees, providing the health services to a primarily Yup'ik Eskimo Native population for an area the size of Oregon. Services are provided through a Bethel located hospital and 50 clinics throughout the YK Delta.
Position Summary
Directs the overall operations of Health Information Services to ensure health records are established and maintained according to internal and external requirements and/or regulations. Performs duties in support of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

Position Qualifications
- Two or more years of college with an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Management. Accreditation as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), through the American Health Information Management Association.
- Two (2) years of prior technical and management experience in health information functions. Supervisory experience desired. Experience with Shared Medical Systems Med Series IV (MS4) health information products is preferred.
- Accreditation as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), through the American Health Information Management Association.
- Experience with Shared Medical Systems Med Series IV (MS4) health information products is preferred. Knowledge using Excel, Word, PDF, EBC, transcription, copy machine, fax machine, Embosser, MPI, typewriter, WinZip, and able to use new technologies as needed.
