The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Position Summary
Perform the normal duties of a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting. Help in maintaining an efficiently operating Dental Clinic. This job involves a high degree of patient interaction.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer completion of DA Apprenticeship showing competencies in all phases of dental assisting as determined by the Dental Assistant Trainer; or have documented training of comparable level.
- Current BLS, CPR and dental radiology certification within 2 months of hire date.
- Dental equipment and instruments.
- Dental anatomy, basic dental instrumentation, basic dental assisting and customer service skills.
