TITLE: RECEPTIONIST (HIGH SCHOOL)
JOB SUMMARY: To Assure the Smooth and Efficient Operation of the School Office, so that the Office's Maximum Positive Impact on the Education of Children can be Realized.
REPORTS TO: Principal and/or Assistant Principal
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greets and assists visitors to the YHS campus.
- Makes arrangements for conferences and arranges for visitor comfort.
- Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a productive and smoothly run office.
- Maintains such student records as shall be required.
- Maintains a regular filing system, and processes incoming correspondence as instructed.
- Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts it into usable form.
- Performs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the position.
- Orders and maintains supplies as needed.
- Assists teachers in preparing instructional materials as requested.
- Places and receives telephone calls, and records messages.
- Receipts and deposits all incoming monies.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may assign from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Working Knowledge of Basic Office Procedures
- Operation of Common Office Equipment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 188 day contract, 8 hours per day
- 1.15 pay ratio 2025-2026 (FY26) YPS Support Pay Scales
STATUS: Non-exempt Support
