What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Mentoring Network Coordinator position at YOUTH SERVICES SYSTEM INC?
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Recruit youth mentees and adult volunteer mentors.
· Ensure that volunteers are screened and oriented according to the program’s standards and the agency’s policies & procedures.
· Conduct program assessments, applicant interviews, and home evaluations, and develop case plans.
· Complete all required reports.
· Provide training, information, and support for match participants to assure a positive experience for mentees and mentors.
· Provide ongoing technical assistance, support, and supervision to families and volunteers.
· Coordinate and plan monthly activities with matches.
· Promote the program through outreach including public speaking, tabling events, and school, corporation, and community partner presentations.
· Apply child safety and risk management knowledge, policies, and procedures throughout all aspects of job function.
· Availability and willingness to work regular evenings and hours as needed.
· All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Requires Bachelor degree in human services, social services, nonprofit management or another related field. Prefers previous event planning and program development experience; Must understand child development and family dynamics; Must have flexibility in work hours; Must have valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance as required by law.
