Role and Responsibilities

1. Interview Potential Placements (as needed).
2. Provide supervision (once a week) to assigned therapists
3. Manage Paycom by reviewing and approving time off requests to ensure there is proper clinical coverage for the client(s).
4. Assign clients/cases to therapists after reviewing the files to make sure there is an optimal therapeutic fit based on clinicians’ skillset as well as clients' presenting issues.
5. Facilitate Treatment Team
6. Review Level C Requirements for clients and ensure that sessions are being scheduled and met to maintain Level C standards.
7. Available for 24-hour on-call mental health crises.
8. As a clinician, you must be accessible via phone for consultation on mental health issues surrounding your clients or other clients if needed.  If a clinician is not available, they are responsible for securing coverage from another clinician in their absence.
9. As a clinician, one must be available for community-based therapy at least once a month or as needed, and assist the client in reunification and transition from the treatment facility back into the community, as practical for treatment goals.
10. Available for weekend sessions at least twice a month on a rotating schedule.
11. Provide coverage for the Vice President of Residential Programs/Clinical Director upon his/her absence from campus as requested.
12. Review and approve Resident in Counseling and/or Supervisee in Social Work Clinical Notes
13. Supervise interns (sit in sessions as appropriate) as needed.
14. Lead Clinical Services Meetings.
15. Attend the weekly Director’s meeting.
16. Provide Admissions with Case Assignments as well as feedback on questions they have regarding potential placements.
17. Review Safety/Behavior Plans with Clinicians
18. Provide annual evaluations for clinicians and case managers.
19. Monitor and maintain Clinicians' compliance with mandatory and other trainings.
20. As it is expected that this position will have a reduced case load, the expectation of the case load as it exists will be as follows:
    •  Assure necessary input is provided to the Case Managers within 20 days of resident arrival to aid in the facilitation of the ITP.
    • Provide input associated with the counseling component of the program to the Case Managers by the 15^th day of each month that a quarterly review is due. 
    • Perform individual therapy for residents as requested by the supervisor.
    • Assess and diagnose individuals as necessary, either as an LMHP or under an LMHP’s supervision. 
    • Organize and/or implement family group therapy.  This may involve weekend work.
    • Facilitate progress group therapy and various topical groups through the Counseling program on a weekly basis.
    • Demonstrate a proactive approach in your clinical support on an ongoing basis to the residential and education component team members.
    • As a clinician, you must be accessible via phone for consultation on mental health issues surrounding your clients or other residents if needed.
    • Participate as a Facilitator and an active member of the Treatment Team.  Responsible for communicating with the team review with the necessary individuals in the resident’s life. 
    • LMHPs are expected to provide board-approved social work or counseling supervision to those going for licensure for no remuneration.  If a board-approved supervisor is needed, one will be provided by YFT if the individual is on our staff and the respective board approves.
21. Other duties as assigned by the CEO or Vice President of Residential Services.
22. All duties and responsibilities will support meeting the structured program of care outlined in DBHDS and DSS state standards (DBHDS: 12VAC 35-46-800; DSS: 22 VAC 40-151-720).

Qualifications

What you'll need to succeed:

• Master’s Degree and licensure (LMHP), to provide counseling services.
• Demonstrated ability to work with adolescents and families in a counseling setting and function within an
• evaluation team format.
• Ability to assess treatment needs and deliver appropriate interventions.
• Ability to maintain all required documentation.
• Bilingual speaking skills (Spanish and English) are helpful
• Professionally facilitate counseling functions as they apply to our milieu of care.
