The Rebalance Coach & Ministry Support position serves as a coach for the Rebalance program, helping young people develop healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and build resilience through experiential and relational programming. This role leads Rebalance classes, engages students through relational ministry actions (RMAs), and provides ongoing support to encourage continued participation in ministry opportunities.
In addition to Rebalance programming, this position assists with ministry events, outreach efforts, and other programs under San Joaquin Valley Youth for Christ. The Rebalance Coach & Ministry Support works closely with students, ministry staff, and volunteers to create meaningful relationships that support the mission of introducing young people to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.

Qualifications & Skills

- Demonstrate Christ-centered character and a passion for ministry with young people
- Strong relational ability with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively within established ministry systems and expectations
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to lead experiential and activity-based programming
- Demonstrate perseverance, initiative, and a servant-hearted attitude
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College degree related to youth work or a related field preferred
- Willingness to complete required Youth for Christ and Rebalance training, including RMAs, 3Story Training, Abuse Prevention Training, and National Youth for Christ Orientation
- Participate in the spiritual life and mission of Youth for Christ through prayer, devotion, worship, and ministry involvement
- Model Christ-centered character, humility, and care for others
- Participate in fundraising and stewardship efforts that support the mission of San Joaquin Valley Youth for Christ
